Salary: £18,482.50 - £19,526.50 per annum plus excellent benefits

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Contract: Part-time, 18.5 hours per week

Are you calm under pressure and dedicated to supporting communities? We are looking for a Community Safety Advisor to join our team to investigate, provide resolutions to and prevent anti-social behaviour on a part-time basis, working as part of a job share arrangement. 

  

Main job responsibilities:


  • Diligently and efficiently respond to all reports of anti-social behaviour ensuring that customer’s quality of life is not adversely affected by such behaviours.

 

  • Take a problem orientated approach to resolve anti-social behaviour, supporting all parties involved to achieve a satisfactory resolution. 

 

  • Support victims where identified and take proportionate action to prevent repeat victimisation. 

 

  • Support perpetrators where identified and take necessary enforcement action when a supportive approach fails.   

 

  • Represent whg in court proceedings and gather evidence in support of any such action.

 

  • Organise own work schedule and prioritise and manage cases appropriately. 

 

We're looking for someone who has:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with perpetrators and victims
  • The ability to produce accurate and succinct written reports
  • Computer literate including experience of using Word, and Excel spreadsheets
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly when faced with agitation or aggression
  • Personal resilience with regards to potentially hostile environments or individuals
  • Significant experience of working in an anti-social behaviour environment
  • A full, UK driving licence
