Work Planner (Compliance)
Salary: £30,971 - £33,088 per annum plus excellent benefits

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (Until March 2026) Full Time, 37 hours per week

As a key member of our Compliance Team, you’ll be responsible for efficiently planning and scheduling both planned and reactive works across our building compliance functions. Using our DRS scheduling system, you’ll manage engineers’ diaries, respond to urgent requests, and ensure services are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Flexible working is required to meet the demands of the service which operates between 8am and 6pm. Your manager will advise you in advance when the team is required to start and finish work. Your normal start and finish times may be varied from time to time at the discretion of your manager
Main job responsibilities:
- Ensure engineers have work planned into their diary efficiently via use of our scheduling system (DRS), manually intervening with DRS where required.
- Ensure planned programme work (i.e. gas servicing and EICRs) are scheduled into engineers’ diaries effectively and in line with internal KPIs and regulatory requirements.
- To deal, on a daily basis, with emergency jobs, non-appointed tasks, variations, follow-on jobs, carded, cancelled and suspended jobs.
- By working closely with engineer Team Leaders, ensure engineers are working efficiently, challenging engineers where required and highlighting anomalies to the engineer Team Leaders.
- To be first point of call for Customer Services colleagues if a work scheduling or appointment problem or query occurs.
- To liaise and speak with customers if they have a planning and scheduling query, taking the necessary action to resolve the customer query.
- To be a point of contact for any planning and scheduling queries from engineers and engineer Team Leaders.
- Monitor and respond to tasks allocated to the Planning (Compliance) Team.
- Work closely with the Admin (Compliance) Team to ensure customers are informed of their appointments, where necessary.
- Supporting with no access cases, by attempting to contact the customer to gain access and supporting with legal and court bundles.
- Carry out user acceptance testing for system upgrades, giving feedback and suggesting improvements if required.
- Reconcile large amounts of planning related data.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A good knowledge and understanding of planning and scheduling software or systems.
- Knowledge of Electronic Data Management Systems.
- A qualification at Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent.
- An understanding of building compliance legislation.
- Experience working within an assets/ maintenance function.
- An understanding of the construction industry and the use of trade skills in property maintenance.
- Strong evidence of producing statistical information and reports using computerised and manual systems.
- Significant experience of the planning and control of a high volume of work orders
- Experience dealing with customers and challenge where necessary in a calm and respectful manner.
- The ability to review workflows and suggest improvements and efficiencies.
- Experience of liaising with sub-contractors and other suppliers to programme jobs.
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- A good eye for detail and enjoy following process to ensure our legal obligations are met.
