Salary: £38,101 - £40,240 per annum plus excellent benefits

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week. (Office Based)

We have an exciting opportunity for a CPC Qualified Fleet Manager to join our Transport Team.
In this role you will work on site providing operational support services within the Transport Team for the vehicle fleet, fuel cards, ancillary services and to deputise in the absence of the Transport Operations Manager.
Main job responsibilities:
- Operationally support the functionalities of the fleet of circa 250+ Light Commercial Vehicles and up to 10 Large Goods Vehicles.
- Support the Transport Team to ensure vehicles are legal, compliant and managed in accordance with all Operator Licence Undertakings.
- Minimise vehicle off road downtime, monitoring, analysing and updating relevant data records and results.
- Organising and supporting vehicle audits (including weight checks), monitoring, analysing, updating data records, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Providing support functions for the Transport Office, including colleagues, suppliers and third-party queries in a polite efficient manner.
- Process vehicle defect or incident damage claim forms, including taking pictures and recording these onto internal and external supplier systems.
- Co-ordination, distribution and administration of vehicles, yard parkers, key sets, business fuel cards, driver offences and fines.
- Supporting with the administration and processing of Purchase Orders, checking invoices and resolving discrepancies.
- To be a key holder for the Stores and Transport Office and have the responsibility and ability to secure the Office/Site.
- Attending meetings, updating action notes, or, noting new actions on electronic systems i.e. MS Office, Excel tracking spreadsheets.
- Deputise in the absence of the Transport Operations Manager including the management and compliance of the vehicle fleet (including Operator Licence Undertakings).
We're looking for someone who has:
- A valid Transport Managers Certificate of Professional Competence (Road Haulage CPC) Qualification.
- Holder of a valid, full Driving Licence (category C desirable).
- The ability to build trust and co-operative working relationships, with customers, suppliers and third parties.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service and support, including managing and resolving issues or complaints
- Excellent communication with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in supplier contracts, service level agreements and operational risks.
- The ability to anticipate and identify problems and determine the appropriate action to resolve them.
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills including being able to confidently use electronic systems and applications to accurately and efficiently, produce, record or send, data, documents and reports.
