As our Data Protection Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our Data Privacy Team, providing essential administrative and organisational support to ensure we maintain strong data governance practices and comply with UK GDPR and other data protection legislation.
Reporting to the Data Privacy Manager and working closely with the Privacy Officer, you’ll play a vital role in helping us stay compliant with data protection legislation. From coordinating subject access requests to maintaining privacy documentation and supporting audits, you’ll ensure our processes are secure, efficient, and legally compliant.
This role requires on-site attendance for the first three months (Monday to Friday). After this initial period, the minimum in office requirement is two days per week subject to business needs.
Main job responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to point of contact for internal and external data protection queries
- Manage inboxes and correspondence for the Data Privacy team
- Log and track all information requests, from customers to third-party disclosures
- Support the collation, redaction and preparation of data for SARs and disclosures
- Maintain up-to-date registers of processing activities and breaches
- Support with the creation and review of policies, privacy notices, and documentation
- Assist in key projects supporting data-driven decision-making and compliance
- Maintain team planners, trackers, agendas, and meeting minutes
- Drive improvements to admin processes and engage positively with colleagues
We're looking for someone who has:
- Grade 5/C or above GCSE in English
- Previous experience in admin or a similar coordination role.
- A willingness to learn about the requirements of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 applicable to the role.
- The ability to identify and resolve data protection issues and challenges as and when required.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, with an ability to exercise tact and discretion.
- Experience of responding to data access and third-party disclosure requests is desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.

- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office essential).
