Application Support Analyst
Salary: £40,240 - £43,022 per annum plus excellent benefits
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join our established IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the support of a suite of Housing Management software applications and integrations. The successful candidate will identify improvements and efficiencies in business systems and related processes, and deliver change in an Agile environment, alongside colleagues from across the business.
Main job responsibilities:
- Provide software application support for all whg core applications, including assisting with system upgrades, liaising and working with whg third parties and colleagues from across the business.
- Planning, coordinating and supporting software upgrades where required and working with external suppliers to deliver on time and in budget
- Use Kanban, Agile and Scrum tools and processes to deliver value through effective change, working in close collaboration with Application Development.
- Responsible for incident and problem management, completing daily checks, responding to system alerts and adhering to ITIL4 aligned processes.
- Documenting knowledge articles and standard operating procedures and provide training to the IT Service Desk, sharing knowledge and providing support
- Contributing to the Change Advisory Board as required
- Assist the IT Trainer where required to support business areas outside of IT on the delivery of new applications or systems as part of Service Transition.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Significant experience of working in an IT Service Desk environment aligned with ITIL best practice
- Previous experience of supporting housing management software applications or similar and use of SQL as part of Incident and Problem investigation
- Knowledge of some or all the following applications:
- Active H, DRS, Versaa, Accuserv, Open Accounts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- High levels of professionalism and integrity
- High levels of resilience and the ability to work under pressure, demonstrating sound organisational and planning skills
