Temporary Legal Administrator – Housing Litigation Team 

 

Salary: £30,791 - £30,971 per annum plus excellent benefits

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Contract: Fixed Term (3 months), Full Time, 37 hours per week (minimum three days in the office)

 

Closing Date: 4th December 2025

Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking to gain valuable experience within a legal and housing environment? 

We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Housing Litigation Team on a temporary basis, providing high-quality administrative and case support to help us deliver an excellent service to our customers and internal stakeholders.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the Housing Litigation Manager and wider team through a variety of administrative and case-related duties. Your focus will be on ensuring deadlines are met, documents are processed accurately, and cases are well-managed within our systems.

 

Main job responsibilities:

 

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Housing Litigation Team
  • Manage and process incoming post and diarise deadlines and court dates
  • Maintain accurate case records in our case management system (ALB)
  • Prepare and maintain case files, including scanning, organising, and updating documentation
  • Produce and update Excel spreadsheets tracking live cases
  • Assist with preparing reports, management information and data for leadership and committees
  • Support the preparation of electronic court bundles, ensuring accuracy and correct formatting
  • Raise purchase orders and process payments where required
  • Attend meetings and take minutes when needed
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service to internal and external stakeholders including courts, solicitors, contractors, and customers

 

We're looking for someone who has:

 

  • Experience of working in an administrator role with excellent organisational and administrative skills including the use of Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel).  
  • Previous experience of working within a legal team desirable but not essential. 
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • The ability to work in a team environment and be supportive of others and have a “can do” attitude.
  • Good communication and analytical skills and the ability to produce data to enable the Housing Litigation Manager to provide reports to the Group Executive, Boards and Committees.
